EBSU Work and Study Programme admission for
2014/2015 session is still ongoing. Interested
members of the public are hereby informed to
procure their forms in they have yet to do so. This is
due to the continued demand for the purchase of the
2014/2015 WASP admission forms of Ebonyi State
University, Abakaliki, coupled with observed
insufficient subscription to some of the available
programmes under the part-time studies. See the full
application details below as released by the school

The management of Ebonyi State University, Abakaliki
wishes to inform the general public that the sales and
processing of the 2014/2015 admission forms for the
Work and Study Programme (WASP), which had
earlier been indicated to close on September 15, 2014,
is hereby re-opened and extended to 15th January
2015.
In light of this new development, interested and
qualified applicants that wish to enroll into the part-
time programme Work and Study Programme (WASP)
– of EBSU are hereby invited to purchase the
admission form and apply on-line.
Similarly, the candidates who had earlier purchased
the application forms and are short listed for
interview are also invited to attend the admission
interviews according to the schedules earlier
announced.
All the conditions and terms governing sale of
admission forms and for admission into the
University's Work and Study Programme (WASP), for
the avoidance of doubt, are herewith re-produced:-
A. General Info Concerning EBSU WASP
Programme
Work and Study Programme (WASP) is a weekend
programme designed to offer opportunities to
talented, intelligent and qualified working adults in
various fields of life endeavours to acquire university
education without having to give up their jobs.
B. ABOUT NYSC AND WASP
GRADUANDS.
Graduates of WASP DO NOT participate in the
National Youths Service Corps (NYSC), rather they are
issued with Exclusion certificates from NYSC at the
end of their programme.
C. General Admission Requirement Into
EBSU Work & Study Programme
The WASP requires (5) O' Level credit passes or its
equivalents (SSCE, NECO, TC II,NABTEB etc) at not
more than 2 sittings for ALL courses.
The O' Level subjects should be in relevant areas; for
instance, credit pass in English Language is required
for all courses, while Maths is required for Sciences,
Social Sciences (except Mass Communication),
Management Sciences, and Agricultural and Natural
Resources Management.
D. Programme Plan
The programme offered in each department is the
same as those of regular programme. The only
difference is the mode of entrance, and mode of
study. The length of time a candidate spends in the
programme before graduation depends on the level of
qualification upon entrance, for instance:
