LASU VC Locked Out As Staff Unions Protest

The Lagos State University (LASU) Vice Chancellor, Prof. John Obafunwa was locked out of his own office on Monday by the members of Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities (SSANU) and Non-Academic Staff Union (NASU), LASU chapter.

It was learnt that the aggrieved staff stoned and threw sachet water at the VC and other principal officers that were with him leaving him no other choice than to hurriedly leave the premises even with the police men that were with him.

However, the cause of the protest and agitations of the unions cannot be ascertain as at the time of filing this report as effort to reach the Public Relations officer of the school or the VC for comments proved abortive.
