The ABUTH discharges 6 Zaria bomb blast victims

THE Chief Medical Director (CMD), Ahmadu Bello
University Teaching Hospital (ABUTH), Zaria, Professor
Mohammed Lawal-Khalid, on Tuesday, said six out of the
32 Zaria bomb blast victims have been discharged.
He told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Zaria, Kaduna
State, that the discharge followed significant improvement
in their condition of health.
Lawal-Khalid recalled that more than 32 victims who
sustained varying degree of injuries in the recent explosion
were admitted in ABUTH.
The CMD commended the hospital staff for their support
and high sense of commitment toward rescuing the lives of
the affected bomb blast victims in the hospital.
He appealed to the workers to continue to promote selfless
service to humanity for the good of the society and the
country at large.
According to him, the hospital had received over N3 million
as donation meant for medical bills, support and assistance
to the affected victims responding to treatment at the
hospital.
He promised to extend all the necessary support and
courage to the entire staff of the hospital, with a view to
taking it to greater heights.
It will be recalled that a female teenager, last week Tuesday,
diffused an explosive device that killed over 25 Kaduna
State workers during a biometric screening exercise at
Sabongari local government council secretariat.
