We are not exploiting Micra drivers —Oyo NURTW boss

The chairman of Oyo State chapter of the National Union of
Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Alhaji Taofeek
Oyerinde, has reacted to an issue raised by some drivers in
the state, who accused the union of exploiting them,
Speaking with newsmen, Oyerinde said this was a faulty
understanding of the so called group, on a step taken by the
union.
"Most of those complaining are kidnappers because Micra
cars have been tagged as kidnapping tools, especially
those that came in from neighbouring states. They will come
in the morning to work and leave in the evening. Many of
them are not registered with the state."
Oyerinde also added that it has been reported on many
occasions that Micra cabs carry passengers and dump them
in the bush.
