Forgotten Super Eagles forward, Obafemi Martins has won his first trophy of the season for his Major league Soccer side, Seattle Sounders.
The one time Inter Milan forward, who scored the winning goal for his side against Vancouver Whitecaps in their 3-0 to win to clinch the Cascadia Cup 2015 on Saturday, has now scored 13 goals for his American club in 16 appearances.

Punch reports that the tournament, a regional trophy contested by MLS teams, Seattle Sounders, Vancouver Whitecaps and Portland Timbers, in the North-West, was won after Sounders topped the table on 12 points to rake in their fourth title.
According to the Olympian, Martins chipped a pass to Andreas Ivanschitz, who broke past his defender down the left flank where he fired past goalkeeper David Ousted, as the side broke the deadlock in the 45th minute.
Ivanschitz said: “It was a great pass from Oba, fantastic timing.
“The angle wasn’t good for me then to finish. The only chance was to keep it on the ground, to hit it hard.”
Clint Dempsey assisted the Pineda goal in the 71st minute and the Martins goal in the 87th to complete the routing of the Vancouver side.
The Nigerian player also recently revealed that he is in no haste to quite football, as he still wants to keep up with playing football until he feels tired and cannot continue.
