Change IMEI On A Rooted HTC Phones And Non MTK Devices

This is a tutorial on how to change imei on a rooted
htc phone.
Method 1:
Use google to search on how to root your phone. If
your phone is already rooted then you can continue
with this steps. Google search for android sdk tools
and download it. Now most htc phones can go to the
bootloader by putting off your htc phone then power
it on while holding the volume down button and it
will boot to the bootloader, connect ur phone to
your pc with your cable and click on fastboot- The
volume is used to navigate and the power button is
used to select your option. When on your fastboot,
click on computer and search "cmd" which means
command prompt. It will open the command
prompt window. Then type "fastboot getvar imei" it
will display your current imei. Type "fastboot oem
writeimei 35xxxx" the 35xxx stands for the
blackberry imei u want to use. U will get a success
report. Now you can reboot your phone and enjoy
your new imei.
Method 2:
To change IMEI on non MTK device, just download
MTK Droid tool and MT65xx USB Driver so that your
PC can identify your phone. Once that is done, just
run the Droid tool and wait for it to detect your
phone. On the upper side of the interface, click
Phone information.
Now you can see a Tab for IMEI /NVRAM. Just click it
and you can easily change your IMEI from there.
NOTE: Make sure you backup your IMEI in case you
want to revert it back to the old one.
Now, you can rock your phone with GLO BIS that
only work on changed IMEI MTK Devices.
