German institute to offer scholarships to Nigerian youths
The Berlin-based Institute for Cultural Diplomacy said
on Monday that it has concluded arrangements to
inaugurate an international programme to support
Nigerian youths.
The Institute made the disclosure in a statement by
Mr Dickson Omoregie, its Nigerian representative,
and made available to the News Agency of Nigeria in
Abuja.
The statement quoted Omoregie as saying that the
programme would be within the framework of
enabling greater access to educational and
professional development opportunities.
He said the development opportunities would include
financial scholarships for more Nigerians youth.
He added that the organisation would also officially
unveil the programme during an international
conference, scheduled to hold in Abuja soon.
Meanwhile, a parallel meeting to the 70th UN General
Assembly in New York sometime in September 2015,
was being scheduled where the President-elect,
Muhammadu Buhari, would meet with some
European ex-Presidents for further developmental
discussions.
"In the framework of this programme to support
Nigerian youths, the ICD will enable access to higher
education opportunities and programmes for many
Nigerians in Europe.
"Ìt will also open an international career center in
Abuja and Berlin, where Nigerians will also be able to
receive professional support and information, as well
as job opportunities," he said.
He also said that the organization would offer free
training courses for young Nigerian professionals,
both domestically and in Europe.

dedicated to providing the participants with
professional development skills and strategies for
success, both at home and abroad.
